Dwr Anafon is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) set up to distribute the disposable profits from the Ynni Anafon Energy hydroelectric scheme, built above the village of Abergwyngregyn, Gwynedd.

The charity was set up in 2017, and has a board of trustees to allocate grants for a wide range of projects.  Initially, funds were only available for residents of the village of Abergwyngregyn and Crymlyn but since January 2020 residents of the neighbouring village of Llanfairfechan have also been able to apply for grants.

The first grants were for projects within Abergwyngregyn, to enable the installation of a defibrillator, to help fund the relocation of the village war memorial and to set up Tai Chi classes.  A full list of successful applications can be found on the ‘Grant Applications’ page.

To apply for a grant, please read the Application guidelines and complete an ‘Application Form for Individuals’ or an ‘Application form for Groups’, depending on the type of project you are seeking funds for. Once completed, email to info@dwranafon.co.uk or send to Dŵr Anafon, Yr Hen Felin, Abergwyngregyn, Llanfairfechan, LL33 0LP.
